Thanks-Giving Week

Good morning, Isabelle!  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I wanted to wish you an especially Happy Thanksgiving!

There are so many people that think of Thanksgiving as the day they get together with family and eat turkey..... and watch Football!  Which is fun, but I like Thanksgiving because it reminds people to be thankful. I try to be thankful for everything I have EVERY day.  I have so many things to be grateful for.

One of the many things I have to be thankful for is my family......   Jim, your mom and dad, Jack, Jaimey, all of my nephews and nieces, my brother.  There are a lot of people in my family and I love them all.   Each of them has made me smile and given me joy at some point and I am thankful that they are in my life.

There are a lot of other things to be thankful for too.   Having a house to live in, having good food to eat, having nice clothes to wear, having lots of toys.   Not everyone has those things.  We should always try to help people that don't have as much as we do.  Just like you giving some of your birthday money to your church.  I was so proud of you for doing that!  Today, I dropped things off at Goodwill that will go to people that don't have much.

Sometimes helping someone may be as simple as smiling at them.  If you see someone that is sad, smile at them.  That may make them smile and be happy too.  :-)

This Thanksgiving you will be at your family's house is Boston celebrating and visiting with people that love you very much. This is something you should be thankful for.  You have so many people that love you!

So when you read this, I am going to ask that you think of three things you are really thankful for. Say them out loud.  Say, "Grammy, I am thankful for" ........... and then say three things you are thankful for.

Try to do that every day.  Especially when you are unhappy.  Think about something you are thankful for and hopefully that will make you smile.

Happy Thanksgiving, Isabelle!

I love you forever!
