It's been a busy week!

This has been a busy week Isabelle!

Some of the things that happened this week were:

- Grammy's birthday was Sunday.  I am 53 years old now!
- On Wednesday, you had your first day of Kindergarten
- On Thursday Jim and I went to our first Farm to Table dinner

I hope you remember some of these things and know why they are important to me.

On my birthday your mommy and daddy sent me a video of you and Jack singing Happy Birthday to me.  It was great!  I love seeing you and hearing your voices.  Even though we don't live close to each other, it is so nice to see your smiling faces......... and your funny faces.  I love you no matter what face you are making and ever time I see you it makes me smile.

On Wednesday your mommy and daddy got to send you off for your first day of school.  You made your own sign to hold up.  I saw the pictures and I was so proud of you, Isabelle.  You are such a smart girl.  And so brave.   Tonight when I talked to you I could tell how excited you are about going to school.  I asked you if you rode the bus by yourself.  You said "no, there are a bunch of other kids on there also". ( I just meant you were riding it without your mommy or daddy.)  You told me your bus driver's name and your teacher's name.  After I talked to you , your daddy and I talked about how smart you are and how you are helping to teach the other kids in the class how to read.  I can tell you are really going to like school!

On Thursday, Jim and I went to a dinner where everything was from a farm.  Nothing was bought at the store.  Gardening and farming is very important and a lot of fun!  We got to meet all of the people that grew the food that we ate.  We had salad and fruit and a lot of good vegetables!  Grammy and Jim have a little garden now but when we move, we are going to have a big garden.  Right now we grow things like tomatoes, peppers, garlic, carrots and onions.  It's fun to go out to the garden and pick food out of the garden and then eat it.  A few weeks ago I talked to you on the phone when I was out picking blackberries.  When I got home I made blackberry jelly.  I hope you and I can go pick berries and make jelly together sometime!

Here are some of the pictures of things I have grown or things I have gone to a farm to pick.

I love you, Isabelle!  We'll talk again soon. <3
